TREAT OF THE WEEK - ALEX EYOLFSON
Monday, June 3rd, 2019 | Sarah Wright
The “Treat of the Week” for our third regular season game against the Manitoba Fearless was Alex Eyolfson. Alex is twenty one years old and is currently studying Kinesiology at the
university of Saskatchewan as well as working for the City of Saskatoon as a Recreation
Technician 8 and as a ice cream scooper at The Bus.
Here are some fun facts about our “Treat of the Week”:
How long have you've been playing and what positions have you played?
I’ve been playing for 4 years as a quarterback
2. What does being a valkyrie mean to you?
To me being a Valkyrie means being a part of a hard working, supportive, and positive team that
I’m lucky enough to call a second family. It means giving your best effort, trying your hardest,
playing for your teammates, and challenging yourself and your team to get better!
3. How has football changed your life?
I have met so many amazing people and life long friends from playing football. It has only made
my life better and given me many opportunities that I am very thankful for! I definitely couldn’t
imagine my life without football in it!
4. Do you have a game day routine? What is it?
I don’t really have one but I always eat pasta the night before games (or try to) and I try and get a
good night’s sleep. On the actual day of our game I just like to listen to music before the game
and talk with my teammates.
5. What other sports do you play/watch?
I play basketball and flag football but I don’t watch many sports on TV haha whoops.
6. What are you looking forward to this year?
Graduating from Kinesiology in June and hopefully doing some travelling in the near future!
7. If you could be any occupation what would it be?
I would want to have a job where you could pet and play with cats all day (but that wouldn’t pay
the bills) sooo… a veterinarian that specializes in cats hahaha?
8. What colour best describes your current mood?
9. How many marshmallows can you fit in your mouth?
Tough question… 10???
10. Which player is the worst to room with on the road?
Hahah none of them:)
Stay tuned for next week’s “Treat of the Week”.
